While Vegas is a real great story for the NHL, the Capitals are an actual hockey team with a real roster that has been formulated over a few seasons.

Caps in six.

Aight Sheng, decent blog again. Love your analyses.

I picked Knights to make the final and crush the Lightning, but lose to the Capitals. I believe that the Capitals will continue their solid defensive play in the finals and Vegas can't counterpunch as effectively as in previous rounds against San Jose & the Jets.

Staying with Vegas. In 5 or 6. Simple fact is I’ve said it again and again, win or lose this team plays their game. They NEVER waiver or get rattled. They just grind and wear you down.

Tampa may have had a chance with speed, but Washington wants to come in trapping and grinding?! On a team built of 3/4th liners all determined playing their system?! Good luck there. War of attrition will be won by heart. Washi gton can’t win that battle.

Add in Holtby vs MAF I take MAF any day to winyou a game on his own if not two.

Vegas for cup champs. Let the haters hate.

If Vegas can continue the pressure all game every game I don't think the Caps will be able to keep up. Prepare for cheap shots though, Flower will get it early & Wilson will do something to the top line - hes a grub. Get into a physical grind & there may be a problem.

Go Vegas. Take em in 6 men!

Based on history, Holtby is the better tender. Caps are also very good in trapping and grinding

Sounds like they need this guy:

He doesn’t get the credit, but Tomas Tatar is the best player on the Detroit Red Wings these days and the best transition winger in the NHL, to boot. Tatar’s silky smooth hands and skating ability allow him to weave his way through the ice with ease, and if he can’t find open ice, he’s also one of the most adept passers in the NHL. Adding to his strong transition play, Tatar is an above average first line defensive player, and strong scorer.
